Hello all, please find below Dancevault July 2017 class schedules for studios 1 (at DV1), 2 & 3 (at DV2), together with a location map and class rate card.
Effective immediately, some classes have been migrated to the new studio at 176 East Coast Road, SG 428882. We would appreciate it if you could take a minute to familiarise yourself with the new class schedules.
SOME HIGHLIGHTS PLEASE :
- The Bungee class schedules (DV Studio 3) are only effective from Tuesday 11th July. Reservations are required for ALL Bungee classes. For now, call the studio to book. We shall shortly be announcing the launch of our Dancevault class booking app for everybody's convenience.
- We will also be progressively adding more Bungee classes throughout this month, and will inform when the new classes open.
- Dancevault is proud to announce that regular Yoga and Pilates classes (DV Studio 3) have been added to our menu of class offerings.
- New (additional) classes launched : Mon 10.30am KpopX with Jaenny, Tues 7pm Hip Hop with Rhomeiny, and Wed 8pm Jazz Funk with Chuck.
- We shall soon be adding Tabata and Circuit workouts, MMA and basic self defence classes, so be on the lookout for announcements.
It's been an incredible year of growth for us, and we THANK YOU with all our hearts for making it possible. We hope to see you at our anniversary party this Fri 7 July, to thank you in person :)

You may have spotted the video while scrolling through Facebook: A room full of people plunging to the ground, then flying through the air. Get ready for the next best thing to hit your workout regimen - bungee dance and fitness classes.

DANCEVAULT presents BUNGEE WORKOUT
​
Bungee Workout is the gravity defying class taking the international fitness world by storm. At first blush it appears like a whole lot of fun (and it is!) - but it's harder than it looks. There's a science to it and the format goes well beyond bouncing around. It's cardio, it's strength, it's abs and it's going to improve your balance. Everything you're doing in this class is core focused. The further you move from the anchor point, the more resistance you will get from the cord. In turn it requires more core strength to go any further. It’s also graceful and beautiful to watch, and oh and did we mention, you get to fly!
​
The bungees allow people to perform manoeuvres they would not otherwise be able to do, like one handed push-ups with their feet suspended in the air, or plunging to the floor, flying through the air and quite literally bouncing of walls for a unique, effective and absolutely fun and exhilarating workout. This low impact, high intensity class is a fusion of dance and aerobics. Your instructor will talk you through the basics in the beginner class, and once you’ve nailed the essentials, your fitness potential is an exciting and challenging combination of dance, aerial flows, and even a little vertical action against the wall.
​
All said, it’s essentially a resistance class designed around your secret childhood fantasy of leaping like Spiderman, with the grace of an aerial artiste. All to the high energy beat of the latest pop music.

DANCEVAULT presents BUNGEE WORKOUT
TABATA TRAINING
at Dancevault II, July 2017

Tabata training cobbles a session together from a huge array of strength and aerobic exercises. The gist is it incorporates a greater work load or intensity and hits a greater range of muscle groups than traditional cardio in a shorter amount of time. It forces you to work above your lactate threshold.
​
It’s extremely efficient and effective, and ideal for people pressed for time, yet unwilling to let their fitness commitment slide to pratt. The workouts are designed to fit into precious morning pre-office or lunch downtimes.
​

The Key To Being Stronger And Enjoying Great Health
​
Low impact workouts train and enhance many aspects of good health that cardio workouts alone cannot address. Life is easier when you’re strong. Carrying groceries (or children) – no problem. Prone to minor illnesses whenever the flu season comes along – no more.
​
SSE training is also one of the most effective ways to burn fat and build muscle. It has been shown to halt and even reverse sarcopenia – the reduction of skeletal muscle that occurs as we get older – which helps us stay independent and live longer. In addition to making life easier, and making us stronger, SSE training has a lot of other great benefits for right now. Here are just a few :
​
Look Good : SSE training helps you lose weight (and body fat) in a few different ways. It has a much greater level of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption than aerobic exercise. What does this mean? When you finish a workout, your body needs to do a lot of work to replenish itself in order to bring itself back to a normal state. This takes a lot of energy, and some studies have shown that it can boost your metabolism for up to 38 hours after you finish your workout. Not only that, SSE training can help increase your metabolism by speeding up your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). This is because it takes your body more calories to maintain muscle than it does to maintain fat.
​
Makes You Healthier : SSE training increases bone density, builds a stronger heart, reduces your resting blood pressure, improves blood flow, halts muscle loss, helps control blood sugar, improves cholesterol levels, and improves your balance and coordination.
​
You’ll Feel Better : Not only will you find yourself with more energy and confidence, less stress and anxiety, and in a better overall mood, but you’ll actually begin to think better (resistance training has been proven to help increase cognitive function). And while training too close to bedtime can be a bad idea, exercising earlier in the day has been proven to help prevent insomnia.
​
Prevents disease and degenerative conditions : Heart disease is the leading cause of grave illness and even death for both men and women. SSE training helps correct issues relating to cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and inactivity, all factors for heart disease. Strength training has also been proven to help manage and improve the quality of life for people with Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Down Syndrome and clinical depression.

SSE training is fun! It’s easy to see progress as your strength and agility improves, almost like leveling up. SSE is an essentail complement to cardio based workouts. It builds flexibility, agility and endurance for all the stamina that you’ve been amassing in your cardio sessions. And being strong is obviously important in life. It’s natural for us as humans to want to move around and carry things.
